Links
Working on this one, more to come. Descriptions of some sites taken from the page itself, they can describe themselves better than I can. There are links to sites of various sects and lineages. They all have one common theme though, the teachings that Buddha Shakyamuni left behind for us, otherwise known as, Dharma.
The Worst Horse – “Pop-and sub-culture for Dharma people. Dharma for pop- and sub-culture people.” Site run by my bro Rod, without his push this blog wouldn’t exist.
New Buddhist – “The purpose of these forums is to provide a place for westerners to discuss Buddhism, ask questions about Buddha and his teachings, and to bring peace and happiness to all who visit. We are not on a mission to convert anyone, and we do not evangelize. Please keep your words and thoughts respectful and polite while you are visiting. We hope that you find peace in your endeavors.”
Dharma Punx – The the official homepage of the book: Dharma Punx by Noah Levine. Includes info on the book, a forum and downloadable MP3’s of Noah’s talks. Recommended!
Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche – “Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche is the head of the Shambhala Buddhist lineage, a spiritual and family lineage that descends through his family, the Mukpo clan. This tradition emphasizes the basic goodness of all beings and teaches the art of courageous warriorship based on wisdom and compassion.”
Buddhanet™ – “BuddhaNet™ is the result of a vision to link up with the growing world-wide culture of people committed to the Buddha’s teachings and lifestyle, as an on-line cyber sangha. In this way, an ancient tradition and the information superhighway will come together to create an electronic meeting place of shared concern and interests.”
Random Buddha – Random Buddha quotes
Ven. Kusala Bhikshu – “Ven. Kusala Bhikshu (Thich Tam-Thien) is an American born Bhikshu (monk) ordained in the Zen Tradition of Vietnam.”
DharmaNet – “DharmaNet has been revived and revised. We’re on the way to becoming a seminal educational and informational resource that is ecumenical and all-encompassing, one that addresses the needs of newcomers and experienced practitioners, one that speaks to non-Buddhists, lower-case b buddhists and practicing Buddhists of all ages.”
The Buddhist Channel – Great site, I visit in nearly every day. There’s even an RSS feed whichs runs right on this blog. Look over to your right for top “Buddhist” headlines. “Based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the Buddhist Channel is the brain child of its founder, Lim Kooi Fong. Lim is a well known Dharma speaker in Malaysia and has been involved in Buddhist related activities since 1985. Apart from giving talks, he also conducts Sutta Study lessons and has published children story books based on the Jataka.”
The ID Project – The Interdependence Project is a grassroots, community-oriented dharma project.
West Memphis Three – Learn more about the case about the West Memphis Three, the modern day witch-hunt gone awry!

If you feel so inclines to add a link for this blog on your page, I am in the process of making different sizes and design. I’ve come up with one so far, hopefully will have a couple more up soon!

I am writing on behalf of the Unrepresented Nations and Peoples Organization (UNPO), an international, nonviolent, and democratic membership organisation based in The Hague, the Netherlands. Its members are indigenous peoples, minorities, and unrecognised or occupied territories who have joined together to protect and promote their human and cultural rights, to preserve their environments, and to find nonviolent solutions to conflicts which affect them.
The work of UNPO adapts continually to meet the challenges of its Members and the nature of the international political climate, but each Member remains committed to respecting the five principles enshrined in the UNPO Covenant: nonviolence, human rights, democracy and self-determination, environmental protection, and tolerance.
I note your active interest in the issues that preoccupy the UNPO and our members and would like to draw your attention to our website which outlines our current campaigns and activities: http://www.unpo.org
We would really appreciate you displaying this link on your blog as we feel that you and your readers could make an extremely valuable contribution to our work.
Furthermore, why not join our Facebook group to allow even better collaboration and networking: Facebook UNPO
